Cremps is a small rural village (population 320), set on a hilltop in the Causses du Quercy region of the Lot. Liberté is a lovingly restored traditional stone farmhouse set in 6 acres of wood and meadow 2 kms outside of Cremps.

A wealth of fascinating day trips and outings await you! Enjoy the wine, the food and the company in a corner of France that remains pretty much as it was a century ago.Yet you find yourself just 20 minutes drive from the modern conveniences of our nearby bustling market town, Cahors.
There is a wide cultural and musical programme throughout the summer season, details of which are available in the tourist information packet at Liberté, including the Cahors Blues Festival (17-21 July).

Chateaux, gardens, caves, adventure parks, museums, galleries and quality shops abound so you are never short of something interesting to occupy you in-between relaxing days in the sunny garden.
After a mild and short winter with sparkling frosts and crisp, sunny, blue-sky days (OK it does also rain sometimes!) Spring generally kicks off on March 1 just after the wild violets bloom in February. April and May bring wild irises, plum and cherry blossoms. June, July and August, the rose, lavender, sunflowers and wisteria are in full and colourful bloom and it's the season of village fêtes every weekend with dancing and music! The warm weather generally goes on well into autumn which is full of deep and luscious purples and browns, vivid oranges and yellows dotted with bright and fiery reds - for some (the vineyard owners) the best time of year! The Lot is a great place any time of the year really.
Please take the time to visit Amanda Lawrence's newsletter "The Quercy Diary" to read her evocative jottings about the charms of the local area through the seasons.
